The real problem

The customer promise and the engineering task are different records.

Keep the promise visible until customer delivery is confirmed.

Problem 1

Your tools don’t talk to each other

Sales, success and engineering each live in a different app.

  • SlackSlack
  • JiraJira
  • GitHubGitHub
  • HubSpotHubSpot
  • GmailGmail
  • Google CalendarCalendar
  • Google DriveDrive
  • StripeStripe
  • RazorpayRazorpay
  • FreshdeskFreshdesk
  • PagerDutyPagerDuty
  • GitLabGitLab

With Soil: connected tools give you one picture of what’s happening.

Problem 2

A task can finish before a customer receives it

Sample data
Invoice #1042Northwind₹4,20,00021 days overdue
Reminder drafted. Waiting for your OK.

With Soil: keep customer delivery separate from engineering completion.

Problem 3

Owners and deadlines need review

Sample answer Where is this?Who owns this?Any update? soil SSO-12 is blocked by API-201. Leo can unblock it.Jira · GitHub

With Soil: ask once, get an answer with links to its sources.

Problem 4

Promises fall through the cracks

Sample timeline
Promised 24 OctDelivery not confirmed

Sample dataFictional example: Acme was promised SSO by 24 Oct. An owner reviews the deadline and linked work; this example establishes no renewal value.

With Soil: track customer promises against the work behind them.

01 · Why Soil

One place to review
customer commitments

Start with a promise you enter yourself. Review candidates from selected Slack channels, assign an owner and deadline, and link work only when you can verify the evidence.

  • Tracks the promise

Enter a customer commitment manually or review a Slack candidate. Extraction and risk checks use rules; an AI model is not required for this workflow.

  • Explains what needs attention

Check approaching deadlines, blocked work and stale or missing evidence. A warning is a reason to review, not a promise that Soil predicts the delivery date.

  • Acts with your approval

Prepare a deterministic update, review its recipient and words, then approve sending. Optional AI can help with supported drafts; every external action still requires approval.

What Soil does

Keep a customer commitment through delivery

Enter or review the promise, assign its owner and date, check evidence and record confirmed delivery.

Engineering

Checks deadline risks

Approaching deadlines, blocked linked work and stale evidence show a reason to review.

Example · Sample dataA deadline is approaching and linked work is blocked
Everyone

Starts without an AI model

Manual tracking, candidate extraction and risk rules work without an AI provider.

Example · Sample data“What did we promise Acme?”
Customers

Separates work from delivery

Engineering Done is not customer delivery. Record the evidence and ask the owner to confirm.

Example · Sample dataAcme’s task is done; customer delivery is not confirmed
Finance

Keeps existing workspace tools

Other workspace views still support invoices and costs when connected evidence and access permit.

Example · Sample dataInvoice #1042 is 21 days unpaid
Work

Connects the dots

Follow a blocker across connected tools and see the work it affects.

Example · Sample dataAPI-201 is blocking Android 3.2
Everyone

Does work with your OK

Review an update before it is sent. Every action outside Soil requires your approval.

Example · Sample dataDraft: ask Leo to review PR #215
02 · How it works

Record. Review. Confirm.

Start with a manual promise or review a Slack candidate. Link authorized evidence, act with approval, and confirm what reached the customer.

1 · Record the commitment
  • HubSpotdeals, renewals
  • Jira and GitHubwork, code
  • Stripe and Razorpaymoney
  • Slack and Gmailconversations
2 · Review the evidence

Set an owner and deadline. Connect selected Slack channels and link accessible work explicitly. Strict mode hides Jira until personal access can be proved.

3 · Confirm delivery
  • A deadline reviewed before it passes
  • A promise explicitly linked to accessible work
  • A draft update reviewed before sending
  • Customer delivery confirmed separately from engineering Done
04 · Who reviews commitments

A shared delivery review, with source permissions

Owners review their commitments. Connected evidence stays subject to source access; leadership has no personal-mail or calendar bypass.

  • FoundersCEO, COO

Review approaching customer deadlines and the evidence available to you.

Example alert · Sample data3 things need you today
  • Sales and successCRO, account owners

Record what the customer was promised and confirm what was delivered.

Example alert · Sample dataAcme's customer delivery still needs confirmation
  • EngineeringVP Engineering, delivery heads

See which customer promises depend on your work, before the deadline.

Example alert · Sample dataPR #215 has waited 6 days. Usual is 1.
  • FinanceCFO, finance team

Spot seats nobody signs in to, tools you pay for twice, and invoices past due.

Example alert · Sample data9 paid seats unused for 60 days
  • Other workspace viewsAvailable with connected evidence

Use existing questions and workspace views where your source access permits.

Example alert · Sample dataAnswers include the sources they used
05 · A day with Soil

A commitment review you can repeat

Review deadlines, check linked work, prepare an update and record customer confirmation. Times below are a fictional example, not scheduled notifications.

Example day · Sample events

  1. Review commitments

Check approaching deadlines and missing evidence.

  2. Check linked work

Review accessible task status; Done alone does not confirm delivery.

  3. Confirm the owner

Check who is responsible and whether the deadline is clear.

  4. Prepare a next step

Review a draft update and its recipient before approving send.

  5. Keep the record

Record the delivery evidence and owner confirmation in commitment history.

06 · Security and control

Your data. Your rules. Always.

Workspace admins choose what Soil connects to. A person approves each action outside Soil.

  • You choose what Soil reads

An admin chooses the connected tools and records. Some source apps grant wider read access than the records Soil uses; see the details on our Trust page.

  • You set action rules

Actions outside Soil wait for your approval each time. You review the proposed change before sending it.

  • Company data stays separate

Every workspace has its own data boundary. One company cannot read another company's records.

  • Take your data with you

An admin can export the workspace data from Settings.

  • Delete a workspace

An admin can permanently delete a workspace and its connected data from Settings.

  • Every action is logged

Soil records who proposed an action, who approved it and what happened.

  • Company data stays separate
  • Answers show their sources
  • Action history is recorded
  • Admins can export workspace data

Submitting a request does not start a paid subscription. Pilot scope and commercial terms are agreed separately.

What is Soil?

Customer commitment tracking for B2B software teams

Soil tracks a promise, its owner, its deadline and the evidence behind it. You can start manually without connecting a tool or configuring an AI model.

Selected Slack messages can become candidates for review. Linked engineering work helps explain risk where access permits. Customer delivery remains a separate confirmation; optional AI and other workspace views remain secondary.

  • Customer promise tracking
  • Revenue at risk
  • Unpaid invoices
  • Slack and Jira
  • Answers with sources
  • External actions with approval
08 · Questions

Asked before every demo

Do I need an AI model or connected tools?

No. You can enter and review commitments manually. Candidate extraction and risk checks use rules. An AI provider is optional for supported answers and drafts.

How do Slack and Jira help?

Selected Slack messages can become candidates for your review. You can link accessible Jira work explicitly. Strict mode hides Jira until personal access can be proved.

Does a completed task mean delivery is confirmed?

No. Engineering completion and customer delivery are separate states. A person reviews delivery evidence and records confirmation.

Can Soil send an update on its own?

No. You review the proposed words and recipient and approve each external action. Preparing a draft sends nothing.

Who can see the evidence?

Workspaces stay separate. Connected evidence follows source permissions; Soil admin status does not bypass personal mail or calendar access.

How does a pilot start?

Save your work email for manual review, or explore the clearly fictional demo. Scope, success criteria and commercial terms are agreed separately; no email, meeting or payment is triggered by the request.
